Training Objectives

General Objective of the Course

To enhance the existing capacities of Asian grassroots trainers and educators towards building grassroots movements that will actively engage on the issue of climate change at the international and/or local levels.

. Specific Objectives of the Course

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify gaps, needs, and problems encountered in terms of knowledge and training skills on grassroots-oriented advocacy on the issue of climate change;
  2. Critically analyze the state of climate change in their respective countries, and across Asia;
  3. Come up with proposed refinements to their current training curriculum/curricula (and/or identify other training courses) on climate change/environment-related training courses;
  4. Identify areas for future regional cooperative efforts and collaboration
